After-School & Youth Programs

For over 20 years, NBDC has provided safe, engaging, and community-centered youth programming for children and families in Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
As neighborhood costs continue to rise, many working families need accessible, affordable after-school and summer programs that support both academic growth and overall well-being. Our programs create welcoming spaces where young people can learn, create, build confidence, and connect with their community.

Our Programs
COMPASS After-School

In partnership with the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development, our COMPASS programs provide students with a safe and supportive environment beyond the school day.
Programs include:

  • Homework support

  • Arts & creative enrichment

  • Wellness and movement activities

  • STEM and literacy-based learning

  • Social-emotional development

  • Team-building and community engagement
     

Summer Rising & Summer Enrichment
Our summer programs keep students active, inspired, and connected through arts, recreation, educational activities, and field trips in a structured and nurturing environment.

Arts & Wellness Partnerships
We collaborate with schools and community organizations to provide customized arts and wellness enrichment programming. Flexible and sliding-scale partnership options are available to help make programming accessible to all communities.

What We Do

Afterschool

Providing vital support to families in our community support during after school hours.

Summer Camp

A safe space filled with a schedule of enrichment activities, learning, and field trips. 

Math, Sciences,  & Literacy

Whether through our after school programs or summer camps, your child will be in good hands with a structured learning experience.

Homework Assistance

Our after school staff and instructors encourage and help students with homework, so ensure accountability, routine and are here to help guide with questions they may have.

Field Trips

When possible we are proud to be able to offer a variety of field trips to our students where they can bond, have fun, and be simply be kids!

Arts Enrichment

Our after school programs and camps offer a variety of arts programs including musical theater and visual arts.
